future. Recently edible cactus which was introduced and cultivated by agriculture ministry develop service
center has passed appraisal organized by ministry of agriculture.
At present researchers has finished for edible cactus introducing a fine variety, cultivation technique of cactus , prevent and cure plant diseases etc. and study at nutrition
ingredient ,function ,medicine function ,edible method and suitable for planting area,etc. in various degree .The Ministry of Agriculture develop service
center already in ten more than province and city developed 1000 mu base for edible cactus , and has already made certain economic benefits. )
Cooking with cactus is very being general. Planting cactuses artificially has already become the extensive industry in South America. Among them, yield of Mexico edible cactus is No.1 in the world . According to the introduction of relevant experts, the edible cactus as a kind of characteristic vegetables resource is introduced, develop , and have good industrialization prospect in our country. The cactus is
rich in the mineral substance, compared with other vegetables , it has lower blood, lower pressure ,lower fat of blood .Its stem can be made into medicine of lower blood sugar, lower fat of blood, lower

developing 40 dishes of edible actus at present.
